Once Greg brings Sylvia home, the love triangle of Greg, Sylvia and Greg’s wife Kate begins to our howling delight! Gurney tells the tale of a dog named Sylvia who endears herself to Greg, deep in mid-life crisis, while he plays hooky from work in the park. The Cape Ann Theatre Collaborati ve’s November performances of “Sylvia,” by A.R. Tickets can be purchased for this event at The Weathervane on Main St and at Animal Krackers in both Gloucester and Rockport. This performance will benefit the Gloucester Dog Park. The reception and silent auction begins at 6:00 PM and the performance begins at 7:30. This story about when a mid-life crisis threatens to unravel a marriage and a dog becomes the center of an unlikely love triangle in a heartwarming tale that examines relationships and the search for meaning in life, a hilarious romp that will have you howling for more. Sylvia is a play about a dog, the couple who adopts her, and the drama that results. Please come and support both CAT and Dogs for this great event. The Cape Ann Theatre Collaborative (CAT) has generously dedicated a night to The Gloucester Dog Park by donating a portion of the proceeds to the November 17th performance of Sylvia to the dog park for the much needed funds to open by park by summer 2012.
